DOW (the Department of Writing) is the bookstore’s writing group. We meet the fourth Wednesday of every month. In each meeting we free-write for 20-25 minutes on a prompt and then share what we came up with (sharing is optional!). Then we will discuss the piece of poetry or prose our featured writer has sent to us beforehand, attempting to answer any questions the writer may have posed. We are gentle but honest.
